Heavy lifting services — NYC

Some jobs are too heavy, too awkward, or too high up for a forklift, a truck-mounted tailgate, or a few extra bodies. That's the work we do. Trinchese Boom Service lifts heavy objects safely into place across New York City — with the right crane, the right rigging, and one of our own operators running the pick.

Heavy Objects We Regularly Lift

  • Structural steel — beams, columns, joists, decking, stair packages.
  • Rebar & masonry — bundled rebar, block, brick, CMU, precast panels.
  • Building materials — sheetrock, lumber, insulation, roofing packages to upper floors and rooftops.
  • HVAC & MEP — rooftop units, condensers, cooling towers, boilers, chillers.
  • Generators — pad-mount and rooftop generators, transformers, switchgear.
  • Water tanks — rooftop tank swaps, new tank installations.
  • Machinery — CNC machines, presses, restaurant equipment, safes, transformers.
  • Specialty — sculpture, stone, glass, sensitive lab and medical equipment.

How a Heavy Lift Actually Runs

  1. Site walk / photos. We look at street width, wires, trees, setback, roof height, and load path.
  2. Pick plan. We size the crane by weight and radius, choose rigging, and set the outrigger footprint.
  3. Permits & scheduling. We coordinate DOT windows, FDNY needs, and building access.
  4. Execution. Our operator sets up, our rigger hooks and signals, the load flies clean.
  5. Break down & clear. Street re-opens, site is left broom-clean.

Why "With Operator" Matters On Heavy Lifts

Heavy lifts are where inexperience gets expensive. A miscalculated radius, a bad ground bearing, a swing into a cornice — any one of those turns a routine pick into a claim. Trinchese only sends cranes out with our own NCCCO-certified operators and riggers, and we carry the insurance to match. That is why we do not rent bare cranes.

Heavy Lifting FAQ

  • Our Fassi 1950 boom trucks handle multi-ton loads at typical NYC job radii. The real answer is 'send us weight, radius, and a site photo' — capacity always depends on how far the load is from the crane.
